Date Set for New Building Construction to Begin

The Library is excited to announce that construction of the new building is scheduled to begin April 17, with a significant completion date of February 11. A pre-construction meeting was held on April 7 with Richard Y. Johnson and Son, and was attended by representatives from Becker Morgan Group, USDA, NCALL, Gipe Associates, and MacIntosh Electric, along with John Phillos of DDL, Brandon Fletcher, Delmar Public Library Commission President Beverly Wilson, Director Susan Upole and Assistant Director Jessica Webb.

As a note of caution, the public should be aware that the sidewalks on Jewell Street, Grove Street and Bi-State Boulevard adjacent to the Library's property will be closed to pedestrian use during construction
